Situated on the south-facing side of the Trebarwith valley, with an uninterrupted view across farmland and sea to Trevose Head Lighthouse, Chylean is rural but not isolated being the last property in the hamlet of Penpethy, 2 miles from the sea, 2½ miles from Tintagel and 3½ miles from Camelford.

Our Peaceful, Unspoilt, Wooded Valley |
Our 3 cedar chalets are set in 2½ acres of Unspoilt Cornish Countryside with
typical Cornish flora and fauna - so bring your binoculars!
Some local residents caught on camera by our
visitors:-
Left to right
:- Robin, Greenfinch, Buzzard, Blackbird, Fox, Deer, Rabbit, Great Tit
|
For Birdwatchers :- Our RSPB 'Garden Birdwatch' saw all these birds on our birdtable : Robin, House Sparrow, Hedge Sparrow, Blackbird, Pidgeon, Greater Spotted Woodpecker Blue Tit, Great Tit, Coal Tit, Long-tailed Tit, Chaffinch, Greenfinch, Goldfinch Also seen in the area have been Starlings, Jay, Wagtail, Buzzard, Kestrel, Seagulls, and there are probably many more we don't know about ! For Stargazers :- With no villages nearby and low-key site lighting we have NO 'light pollution' so our night skies are truly dark. From the top of Chylean on a clear night there is an
uninterrupted view of the entire night sky and all it's Stars.

All the chalets have a cooker, water heater, refrigerator, shower cubicle, flush toilet, fan heater and colour television. Each has a futon in the lounge/kitchen. Only the larger chalet has a washing machine and drier.
